The demand for skilled engineers within the agricultural and construction machinery sectors continues to grow, and structured training pathways are becoming increasingly important. The Kubota Apprenticeship Scheme, delivered in partnership with Reaseheath College, is designed to support the next generation of service engineers entering the industry.
This programme provides a clear route into engineering roles within Kubota dealerships across the UK, combining practical experience with formal qualifications and manufacturer-backed training.
The apprenticeship is based around the Land Based Service Engineer Level 3 qualification, giving candidates the opportunity to develop a wide range of technical skills. These include servicing and repairing machinery, replacing components, and working with modern systems such as electro-hydraulics and computerised controls.
Training is delivered over a 48-month period, with block-release study at Reaseheath College alongside hands-on experience in the workplace. Additional training is provided through Kubota’s own technical training centre, ensuring apprentices gain up-to-date knowledge aligned with manufacturer standards.
On completion of the programme, apprentices achieve a recognised Level 3 qualification along with additional certifications, including essential skills and specialist training. They also receive a gold CSCS Advanced Craft card, supporting progression within the industry.
The scheme is designed to provide both the technical and practical experience required to move into full-time roles within Kubota dealerships, creating long-term career opportunities in engineering.
The programme offers a range of benefits for those entering the industry:
As highlighted in the leaflet, apprentices have the opportunity to “earn while you learn”, gaining valuable hands-on experience while working towards recognised qualifications.
With agriculture, groundcare and construction sectors continuing to evolve, the need for skilled engineers remains critical. Programmes like the Kubota Apprenticeship Scheme play an important role in ensuring the industry has the expertise required to support modern machinery and technology.
For businesses and dealerships, investing in apprenticeships helps build a knowledgeable workforce capable of maintaining high standards of service and support.
Those interested in the Kubota Apprenticeship Scheme can speak to their local Kubota dealer or contact Kubota UK or Reaseheath College directly for further information.
