The Kverneland EG Variomat® Reversible Mounted Plough is a premium mounted plough designed for professional farmers seeking maximum flexibility, productivity and efficiency in medium to heavy soil conditions. Combining Kverneland’s renowned steel technology with advanced hydraulic adjustment systems, the EG allows operators to make key plough settings directly from the tractor cab, maximising output while reducing downtime.
Available in both standard and heavy-duty configurations, the EG features the Variomat® variable working width system, Auto-Line pulling adjustment and Kverneland’s maintenance-free Auto-Reset protection system. The result is a highly productive plough that delivers exceptional performance, low operating costs and excellent long-term value.
Available from Irelands Farm Machinery, suppliers of quality new and used agricultural, groundcare and vegetation management machinery throughout Lincolnshire and the UK.
The Kverneland EG has been developed to provide professional farmers with a highly adaptable plough capable of maximising productivity in a wide range of field conditions. Designed around Kverneland’s industry-leading steel technology and heat treatment processes, the EG delivers exceptional strength while remaining lighter than many competing ploughs.
This lightweight yet durable construction reduces draft requirements, fuel consumption and wear on both tractor and implement. Lower operating costs combined with outstanding durability contribute to the excellent resale values for which Kverneland ploughs are renowned.
One of the standout features of the EG is the Variomat® Vari-Width® system. This allows operators to adjust the working width hydraulically while on the move, enabling instant adaptation to changing soil conditions, tractor performance and field layouts. By optimising working width throughout the day, productivity can be increased while maintaining efficient fuel consumption.
The Kverneland Auto-Reset protection system provides uninterrupted ploughing in challenging conditions. Each body can release independently when obstacles are encountered before automatically returning to the working position. The maintenance-free design eliminates downtime associated with traditional reset systems.
Auto-Line automatic pulling line adjustment ensures optimal draft alignment at all times. Unlike many conventional ploughs, adjustments to working width do not require separate front furrow corrections, simplifying operation and improving efficiency.
The unique memory system automatically restores the selected working width after each headland turn, reducing operator workload and ensuring consistent performance throughout the field.
Mechanical front furrow adjustment is fitted as standard, while hydraulic front furrow adjustment is available for operators requiring additional flexibility from the cab. All major settings can be controlled quickly and efficiently, making the EG particularly suited to modern high-output farming operations.
The EG is also fully compatible with the Kverneland Packomat system, enabling ploughing and reconsolidation to be completed in a single pass. This helps reduce fuel consumption, labour requirements and overall establishment costs while creating an ideal seedbed for subsequent operations.
Available with a comprehensive range of accessories and extendable by one additional furrow, the Kverneland EG can be configured to suit a wide range of farm sizes, tractor specifications and cultivation requirements.
